1st Crete Wave Festival August 2012 results and photos
Summer Cocktail: Windsurfing "on the Rocks"
"Hard core" is the word that describes the 1st Wave Festival in Crete which took place at Faneromeni rocky gulf on 28-30 of August. The first day a very good forecast gave us fine conditions with waves up to 2.5 meters sideshore. Athletes from all over Crete and Athens was the promise for a really good and extreme show. Because of the spot (really craggy) and the excessive effords, the competitors were going off the pitch frequently destroying their equipment. However they gave us really good rides, Off the lip, Gu screws and interesting effords of Goiters.

The event was excellent, 32 athletes of windsurf came from all over Greece to compete.
The action was really good. Finally the race stopped to the prefinals due to low wind.
Summer 2012 is comming
Even the political scene in Greece remains difucult and most of us are not able to pay bills and equipment, the wind is blowing as every year this sesson, so we have all the reasons to enjoy it!

Year 2012
This winter I had some broken equipment. so i dont't have footage from that period. Check out my broken RRD twinzer and the repair procedure. The damage happend at 1 meter jump. It is unbelieveble how light the construction of RRD is now days.
Carbon and PVC stringers reinforcements
As you can see, the layers are really few. Furthermore is not a carbon construction.
Repair is finished and the board was tested a few times in the water.
I didn't notice any difference to the way that rides.
Hopefully it has still much life in it.
